FP002 - Variations In Production

'No Clear Shape’ is the second release from Kassian on their new imprint Faux Poly. The release explores the concept of the VIP mix; the same core idea across 3 tracks and tailored for different environments or moments in a DJ set.

The Original Mix blends Broken Beat, UKG and UK Bass. The track builds and peaks with a prominent hook and strong melody. Next up, the Warehouse VIP strips down the idea into a no frills Breakbeat club tool, holding onto the main stabs and a stripped back vocal cuts, ideal for bigger rooms.

Finally, the Club VIP is a simplified 4/4 house variation, focussing almost exclusively on the chords of the original, far more suited to regular clubs.
